Copy-and-paste text uses Unicode script symbols, not a font. Letters, digits, and punctuation outside A–Z stay as typed.
How it works
- Type a name, word, or sentence. Each line of text becomes its own row.
- Choose traditional or modern cursive to see it on handwriting lines.
- Copy the script text to paste it anywhere, or make a tracing worksheet to practice writing it by hand.
Ways to use it
- Show a child how their name looks in cursive before they practice it.
- Check how a word joins before writing it on a card or sign.
- Make name-practice sheets for a whole class, one name per line.
- Paste a cursive-style name into a bio, caption, or message.
Questions
- Is the cursive generator free?
- Yes. The preview and the copy-and-paste text are free with no account. Opening your text as a tracing worksheet and previewing it is free too; printing and downloading custom worksheets come with Pro.
- Is this the cursive taught in school?
- The handwriting preview uses traditional US cursive, the looped style most American cursive programs teach, or a modern cursive with simpler capitals. The copy-and-paste text is a decorative script and does not match school cursive letter shapes.
- Can I paste the cursive text into Instagram, TikTok, or a message?
- The copy-and-paste text uses Unicode script letters, which work in most apps, bios, and messages. They are symbols rather than a font, so some screen readers read them letter by letter or skip them, and search engines may not match them to normal words. Keep important text, such as your name on a profile, in plain letters too.
- How do I learn to write my name in cursive?
- Make a tracing worksheet from your text, trace it a few times, then write it on the blank lines below. The cursive alphabet chart and the cursive letter pages show how each letter is formed.
