About this worksheet
The 8 times table is doubling three times: 8 × 6 is 6 doubled to 12, 24, then 48. The ones digits go 8, 6, 4, 2, 0 and repeat.
If the 4s are secure, double them: 8 × 7 is double 28, which is 56. Watch 8 × 7 and 8 × 6, the facts most often swapped.

Questions
- What is a trick for the 8 times table?
- Double, double, double. Or double the 4 times table answer: 4 × 9 = 36, so 8 × 9 = 72.
- Why are the 8 times table problems in random order?
- In order, children can skip count to each answer. Mixed order checks that each fact is actually remembered.
- Are these 8 times table worksheets free?
- Yes. The sample sheet on this page, with its answer key, is a free PDF in US Letter or A4, no account needed. Generating and previewing new problems is free too; printing and downloading custom sheets come with Pro, which also removes the preview watermark.
