About this worksheet
Long division breaks a big division into small steps, repeated for each digit: divide, multiply, subtract, bring down. In 252 ÷ 7, 7 does not go into 2, so start with 25: 7 goes in 3 times (21), leaving 4. Bring down the 2 to make 42, and 7 goes in 6 times exactly, so the answer is 36.
Every problem on this sheet divides evenly, with answers from 12 to 99, so children can practice the steps before remainders are added. Each problem leaves space under the bracket for the working.
