About this worksheet
Lowercase v starts with an overcurve to the midline and a slant line down to the baseline. Undercurve back up to the midline and finish with a small checkstroke to the right. Uppercase V starts with a curve forward at the top line, slants down to the baseline, and undercurves back up to the top line.
Lowercase v ends with a checkstroke at the midline, so it joins the next letter with a bridge; ve is a common pair and needs a dip before the loop. Uppercase V finishes high at the top line and usually does not join the letter after it.

Cursive v is usually taught alongside the other letters in its stroke family, so practicing them together reinforces the shared starting stroke.
